Summertime means lake time for me, and especially this summer! Living in the midwest is amazing and I love all there is to do here especially spontaneous trips up to the lake. This summer I am lucky enough to be able to attend my boyfriends lake house and I will be the first to say it is a little slice of heaven. Waking up right when the sun comes up to the pink and organy rays beaming against the water while listening to the sounds of waves crash against the shore. Throwing on a pair of comfy shorts and a First Harvest Grungee as the rich smell of coffee beans fill the air as I pour my morning brew. Finally, taking a stroll down the beach feeling the soft sand underneath my feet, and dipping my toes into the cool water awaiting the moment that I can dive in. The rest of the day is mine to spend it doing anything my heart desires, from tubing, water-skiing, or simply laying on the warm sand to read my favorite novel. It truly is my safe haven.
To all my fellow lake-goers I would love to share with you some of my favorite lake weekend actvities!
1. Beach bonfires -- Make S'Mores!
2. Playing football on the beach, or some kind of sport
3. Float out on the lake in a raft and simply drift
4. Make a home cooked meal to enjoy with whoever you are there with
5. Go on a bike ride! ( one of my personal favs )
6. Take fun Polaroid pictures
7. Take a trip to the local surf shop and look around!
8. Hit up the local ice cream joint!
9. Head out on the boat for a variety of water activities; tubing, water-skiing etc!
10. Check out the local farmers market!
These are just some of the many activities you can enjoy at the lake. With good company and beautiful scenery, whats not to like about a lakehouse?!
