New Year Resolutions

Hey everyone,

Is it just me or did 2018 somehow happen to fly by?! This last year I have grown so much and learned so much from moving states, serving a church, and growing through working at First Harvest. With a massive year of growth came, a lot of challenges (that I see as opportunities to be honest..) Things that as I look back, stretched me and were painful but were an important part of my story. I feel like some of these things might resonate with you as well! A new year is always full of new promise and hope and I hope you are encouraged with 2019 approaching!

All that being said, here are 3 of my 2019 New Years Resolutions!

  1. Encourage myself daily.

I feel like many of us can be bombarded with so many voices coming from friends, parents, spouses, and throwing social media in the mix too! These voices play a HUGE part in how we see ourselves and our self worth. Something I learned in 2018, is one opinion matters most and that is my Father God’s. I want to challenge myself to sit in front of the mirror every morning and speak over my heart who I am, so everyday, before the feet hit the ground, I have loaded myself up with truth! Feel free to join me! :)

     2. Take better care of my body.

This can go for many categories but I want to switch over to as many healthy alternatives to skin care and makeup as I can. I want to invest in products that are good for me AND smell good. Thankfully, the soap we carry at First Harvest is one of best soaps I have tried! Made locally and with all natural ingredients, you can’t go wrong. And with our new scents, you will want to buy them all, trust me..

Little switches here and there make a difference and this is one resolution, that with time, will be simple to master!

     3. Have more FUN!

One major revelation I came to was that without play, I am a not so happy person. We all need healthy doses of play and fun in our lives. We aren’t made to work all day; our bodies were designed for both work and rest. Whether it’s going to a movie or planning a road trip, I want to incorporate more play in my day to day in 2019! Work can happen later :)

I pray you have an amazing New Year and as you come up with your own personal resolutions, take time to reflect. Because you truly are amazing and grew so much . You are loved and 2019 will be the best year yet!

Signing off,

Emma
