Hey First Harvest Babes,
Yes, it is the holiday season and we could not be more excited, but this particular time of year is also referred to as something else around this time of year for all college students. Finals Season. The season of countless hours by your laptop, and all-nighters sipping on so much coffee you can barley eve taste it anymore. Yep, it is that time of year again and I am here to say that I am right there with ya, and that I have a couple tips on how to make finals just a little more bearable.
Tip #1: Change up your study-spots
There is nothing worse than staring at the same scenery for hours on end while also staring at a bunch of letters or numbers that bore you enough already, so change it up every once in a while. My personal favorite study spots other than the desk in my dorm are a coffee shop, pourhouse café in particular, and a quiet area in the library where it isn't too crowded.
Tip #2: Take a BREAK!
This is by far the most important, it isn't necessary to study for a consistent 10 hours everyone needs a break. After a couple hours of studying take a break and watch a 30 minute show on Netflix, go to lunch with friends, go to the gym for a quick pick-me-up, or (my personal favorite) take a nap! This will give your mind a chance to actually retain the information you have been pounding into your brain the past 5 hours, and give you a chance to take a deep breath before going into another couple hours of studying.
Tip #3: Dress Comfy on the day of the Exams
This is an obvious one but even if you have to give a presentation or it is a typical sit-down final, feeling uncomfortable with what you are wearing should be the last thing you are worrying about. My go-to finals day outfit consists of a pair of comfy leggings that are easy to move around in and always a go-to, and a comfy-sweater. This outfit is unelievably comfortable, yet p\ut-together a the same time making it the perfect finals day attire.
I hope these tips helped out at least a little bit and to all those students out there, Good luck with Finals!
