Being a college student, the on the go 24/7 lifestyle is just kind of how it is! Always running to class, a club meeting, chapter, or the gym if you are feeling extra motivated one day. Of course, at the beginning of the school year, you are meeting a ton of new people and you want to dress to impress of course, but if there is one thing I didn't realize was how hard it would be to dress-to-impress while being comfy as well. Being a second-semester freshman I can say I have finally established how to look good AND feel good while embarking on all of my daily college festivities. Lucky for you, you don't have to look any further than right here in order to achieve the most stylish, yet comfiest outfits on campus.
Outfit #1: For those warmer, on-the-go days.
This blue-gray babydoll dress is one of the most relaxed and comfortable dresses to throw on when you are running to your 9 am presentation. It's my personal favorite because all it takes is one of First Harvest's beaded necklaces and a classic pair of black or brown booties and you have yourself the most adorable comfy outfit ever. You definitely won't lose the attention of your peers and professors while giving your speech is this stunning outfit.
Outfit #2: "Bummin-it" Days
For this next outfit, we stay very casual with our original First Harvest long sleeve and a pair of your favorite jeans or leggings! This is definitely the go-to for those days that you have back-to-back classes and a little tip if you decide to go to the gym this day or participate in any sort of physical activity and your hair after the fact just isn't cutting it, bring a baseball cap with you! The First Harvest caps are of course the cutest ones you will find so grab one of these, throw it on when your hair has reached the "not-so-cute" point and you all of a sudden look sporty and cute all over again!
Being comfortable in what you are wearing around campus is, of course, one of the most important factors of an everyday college students life, but another thing that tends to be a lot more difficult in college is eating healthy and getting the nutrients you need! I get it, eating healthy can be a hassle and sometimes living off of granola bars for a day is just something you can't avoid but here I have the easiest overnight oats recipe for you all that is not only super quick and easy to make, but it's so cheap as well!
Your On-the-Go Meal: Overnight Oats (Apple-Cinnamon)
Ingredients
1/2 cup of Old-Fashioned Rolled Oats
1/2 cup of Almond Milk
1 tsp Chia Seeds
A couple Drizzles of Honey
1 tsp or so of cinnamon (or however much your taste prefers)
1/2 of an apple (diced)
Instructions:
1. Combine Oats, Chia Seeds, Almond Milk, and Chia seeds into a container you can seal shut (ex. Mason Jar)
2. Dice up the apple and combine it in with the rest of the ingredients.
3. Drizzle honey on top of the oats and, again, combine with the ingredients.
4. Seal the container shut and place it in the fridge for at least 5 hours, or overnight (as stated in its name description)
5 hours later/the morning after!
They are ready to go! Top it off with whatever toppings you please, I typically put blueberries, bananas, and my favorite part, a small scoop of peanut butter ( I have a peanut butter addiction it's out of hand).
If you all try out this recipe snap a quick pic of your delicious meal and send them our way, and even more-so if you are wearing First Harvest Attire!
Until next Wednesday,
Rachel xoxo
